IIRA Wheel to Wheel race and Open Track Day
IIRA's Saturday events include both wheel to wheel racing as well as an open track day. Throughout the day, the course will be used for alternating wheel to wheel and open track sessions in the afternoon. All wheel to wheel entries will be allowed on course during open track times.
Entry costs:
- $80 for Open Track Day Entry
- $180 for Wheel to Wheel Entry
- $80 for Annual License
Schedule: (Schedule may vary based on attendance)
- 7:30 AM: Check-in and tech opens
- 8:30 AM: Driver's meeting
- 9:00 AM: Wheel to wheel practice
- 9:15 AM: First wheel to wheel race
- 9:30 AM: Open track session
- 10:00 AM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 10:30 AM: Open track session
- 11:00 AM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 11:30 AM: Open track session
- 12:00 PM: Lunch break
- 1:00 PM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 1:30 PM: Open track session
- 2:00 PM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 2:30 PM: Open track session
- 3:00 PM: Wheel to wheel racing
- 3:30 PM: Open track session
- 4:00 PM: End of event
All events are subject to ice and weather conditions. YOU WILL ONLY BE CHARGED FOR THE EVENT AFTER IT HAS HAPPENED, so you will not pay when you register. Your credit card on file will charged on the Monday after the event takes place.
PLEASE READ: Open Track Driving Standards:
With the increase in car count for open track this year (good problem to have), there has been good discussions and feedback from our drivers about splitting the open track sessions between cars with studded and non-studded tires because of the speed differential can create congestion and/or unsafe situations. Whether or not we do this will be decided at the morning drivers meeting by YOU, the open track drivers. In addition, there is better definition and changes to the open track driving standards we expect everybody to follow. New additions include dedicated passing zones that will be straight sections of track where you are allowed to pass with a point-by. No passing on any other areas of the track is allowed. These changes are necessary to maintain a high safety standard as the number of cars increase as well as the speed diversity. Event requirements
An IIRA license is required for all drivers participating in wheel to wheel and open track events. Multiple licensed drivers may share a single car entry. Please purchase an annual IIRA license here if you'd like to register.

All wheel to wheel cars are required to have a Flagtronics FT200 transponder. There will be a limited number available to rent for $50 with a $300 deposit.

- Wheel to wheel racing (Saturday): Studded tires required. No tires with studs protruding more than 7mm from the tread are allowed
- Open Track (Saturday) Studded tires are optional. No tires with studs protruding more than 7mm from the tread are allowed
